Alright Ladies and Gents, it's your man back in the lab once again giving you another view into my world.
Just so everybody know I never did get dat Subway sandwich but hey I
did have groceries, thank God for cooking skills, I would be a lot more
skinner without them. Thanks Mama.
Alright let's get into it, just this past week in came back to quite
possibly the most life changing vacation that I ever had. The Youth
Explosion 2008 (JAM Remix: Jesus and Me) @ Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos
Islands has definitely changed my entire life for the better, I learned
a lot being away from America, the numba one thing I learned was that
God is an international God as I met him face to face in TCI.
As usual when I made my rounds upon my return I was asked the famous
question, "So what did you do?" Knowing that I couldn't describe the
entire experience from the top of my dome I came up with a list of
things that I have done on my journey. So come and take a walk witcha
boy, this might be a long one.
Things That I've Done in TCI (or on the way to TCI)
1) Meet Brazilians, and performed the "Crank Dat" with a Brazilian Girl
- culture shock indeed, Soulja Boy is a brainwashing menace to society
that needs to be stopped, hold on...back on subject
2) Meet Black People from Las Vegas (did not know that there was an actual black community in Vegas, ummm...go figure.)
3) Stepped in front of a News Camera Crew for a cable television
network. - Ok sure it was a public access station in another country
the point is, I was on TV.
4) Ate Conch (which is the bomb, but I'm allergic to shellfish so I couldn't finish my piece.)
5) Meet women from the Islands (and everything that people have
told me about Isle women is true, to my pleasant surprise, I mean
beautiful and pretty barely scratches the surface and descriptions like
cute, hot and fine are simply insults, I will go as far to say that
they are gorgeous, maybe because the sun, or maybe it the use of very
little makeup, or maybe they don't stress about looking a certain way,
Haters plz start takin' notes right now.)
6) I chilled on a Hammock - one of my dreams fulfilled (I'm a simple man, what can I say)
7) Taught TCI Kids how to step and made up a step show with them in the
course of a day and a half. (Yeah, I'm something of a beast)
8) I was a part of a rally and was part of a parade. - That was cool
9) Stepped on a stage beside a Library. (Who knew, not me)
10) Evangelized to young men, including a fluent Spanish speaker. (Now
mind you Mi Espanol es muy MAL!! Thankfully Jesus is understood in many
different languages...phew)
11) Chilled in a Caribbean Beach and got to see and be in Turquoise and
Blue Water - another one of my dreams fulfilled (now I know whatcha
thinkin', this guy has pretty low standards, but as I said b4 I grew up
in SE DC by the Anacostia River, not the Potomac, the ANACOSTIA, only
true Washingtonians know what I'm talkin' 'bout)
12) Earned two dollars for stepping.- I told I was gonna put out a hat
and start steppin' and it worked, why cuz I'm a Hustler, n**** ask
about me. LOL!!
13) Stepped for a cruise boat crowd @ Margaritaville (in b/t an old man
dancing/beer drinkin' contest and the Cupid Shuffle, Jesus: "Anything
you can do, Christ can do better, Christ can do anything better that
YOU!!")
14) Coached a 2nd place winning Basketball team (Pat Riley ain't got nothing on me son)
15) Went to the Altar to be ministered to, only to have to minister at
the Altar - Hey when God moves...(God is the ultimate enforcer of "Get
Down or Lay Down")
16) Saw a Bull cross a street!!- not on no leash or anything, just a
Big, Fully Grown Male Bull roaming and crossing the street, as if he
owned the block. (I for sure am not gonna argue with him, IT'S A BULL!!)
17) Performed a step show in front of an international audience - they ate it up, they loved us, I had fun doing that show.
18) Directed my team to a Step Battle Victory!! - Yes the same group from #7) Chilly Chill Steppers 4 Life
19) Won a dance battle - Hey look Eric, Chris, and me were having our
own little after-party everybody joined in and had a great time, the
next thing you know some kid is dancing and he calls me out, and for
those who know my history they know I never back down from a challenge.
So Chris, Sean and I had to let him know where we from. They're just
lucky I didn't bring Omie wit me, then I would have just stood there,
watching and laughing.
20) Climb to the top of the mountain at Gibbs Key and shouted, "I'm the King of the World"- at that point I was.
21) Made friends with Stingrays, I even named them: Chico Suave,
Matilda, Killer, Priss-Ann, Lil' Mayne, and the leader of the group my
man Big Papi - I miss ya'
22) Won an all out dunking brawl against the TCI Youth - Once again, we
didn't start the ruckus, but we darn sure finished it, OH YEAH!! Showed
them what good ole' fashioned America butt-whoopin' looks like, as we
dunked dem Kids ova & ova again. I feel a rematch is rapidly
approaching.
23) Saw all of the hot spots in GT and even the Premier's House (aka
the Prime Minister, research people, research) - All thanks to our
trusty tour guide Ryan (you da manye!!)
24) Went Horseback riding on Land and in the Sea. - Now @ 1st I wasn't
even gonna go in the water into the water but I glad I did, my steed
"Wish a Ni**a Would" held me down. But I still miss my Main Mayne,
Poncho El Negro, but hey, now I know what I want for Christmas forget a
car, give me a Horse 4 real. Gas Prices are getting higher by da week,
this is a cost efficient move. Bump fossil fuel, all a Horse needs is
some Carrots, Celery and Grass and we good to go.
25) Drove a Dune Buggy - Awesome!!
26) Finally learned how to Pogo, Get the Chicken, Play the Game oh and
me and Fuzzy Wuzzy are buds now. - Thank God, weight off my shoulders
like...
All and all- I have made a ton of new friends with Bible Study
Ministries Church (both youth and adults). I leave two new friends from
Vegas (Terrence and Jason, the advisors, y'all done good man), two new
friends form my neck of da' Woods (Malcolm and Danielle, I miss ya'
terribly). Finally, I have 5 new little brothers from the LV (Terrell,
Kevin, Sean, Tyrone and Greg y'all are 4 eva in my heart, I'mma keep
y'all in my prayers, we might need each other again know what I'm
talkin' 'bout? LOL!!)
I'm now proud to say that I'm an international minister and
international ambassador for ANQ. E, Vee, H-Dub, Z3, CB4, and Tim let's
never forget what we have done on those days @ TCI.
Grand Turk, that little town has changed my life forever, I am now a
changed man, everyday I miss it more than the day before. So thank you
all in GT you honored us with your hospitality and your spirits. I Love
You All. America get a load of me while you can, cuz if I'm in GT often
enough and long enough, I might not come back. And That's Real
I told y'all it was gonna be a long one, lol!!, but if you have read
this all the way to the end, thanks for walking with ya' man.
Alright I'm signing off...
Peace and Much Love Y'all, Til' I Write Again
